Annual Awards Presentation Ceremony
As is the custom, the awards for session 2005/06 were
presented at the opening of the Annual Exhibition.
This year the club were honoured to have Colin Wilkinson
from Gryffe Camera Club, and Willie Mack, editor of East Kilbride Mail present
the awards.
The following images give some idea of the awards event.
Of course some winners gained more than one award, but to be fair, their picture
has only been included once. Similarly, we do not have images of those
winners who could not attend the Awards Presentation event.

Junior Section
We were fortunate to have some talented juniors join the
club in 2005/06. A special award marked this unusual event in our club's
history. Hopefully it will encourage other younger members to join the
club and enjoy photography while improving their skills.

The Main Awards
Many of the old hands re-appeared in this years awards
list, but there were an encouragingly large number of newer members. Well
done to all concerned, and better fortune next year to those who were not in the
list. A full list of winners is published elsewhere on this
website

Andy Donald receiving the
"Presidents Trophy" from Club President, Stephen Lipton. This is a
special award presented by the President to the club member who he
decides has deserved special recognition. Andy won the award for
being recognised as having shown a great improvement in his photography
and for his quiet enthusiasm and support of club competitions.

awards, most notably the Jack Godfrey Memorial trophy and best print at
exhibition award.

his award. Of course all of our members suspect that Alan worked
extra hard this year to try to keep up with wife Cathy, who swept the
awards board last year.

of selling one within a couple of hours of the exhibition opening to the
